How to Enable Latch Mode on the Low Current Receiver

Overview

The "hold" open or latch mode feature should ONLY be used with systems utilizing the automatic close timer to close the gate.
In this article you will learn how to enable the "hold open" or latch mode feature on the low current receiver. P2, or relay 2, on the radio receiver can be configured to hold the gate open. Once this procedure is complete, any keypad or remote that is paired to P2 will lock the gate open.

What You Need

  1. A long and narrow tool of some sort (paperclip, tooth pick, etc..)

Procedure

Verify if Latch Mode is Already Enabled

Press the P2 push-button until the green LED light comes on, then release. The green LED light should be steady solid.
A flashing green LED indicates latch mode is already enabled on the receiver and continuing with this procedure is not necessary.

Enable Latch Mode

  1. Using the narrow tool, press and hold P2 until the green LED turns on.
  2. As soon as the LED turns on, release P2 and immediately press and release P1.
  3. The green LED should begin flashing. Latch mode is now enabled.

Verifying Latch Mode After Enabled

  1. Press and hold P2 until the green LED light turns on.
  2. The green LED light should be flashing. If the green LED light is steady, redo the Enable Latch Mode
    section above.

Disable Latch Mode (Return P2 Back to Momentary Mode)
