The S5 push button requires constant pressure for gate operation. This button bypasses
the entrapment protection requirement as you are the safety device. Releasing the
button will stop gate. The LED indicator button may show you what the issue is. If not, verify the installed entrapment device is working properly.
Press and hold the "LED Indicator" button on the board and check what lights up.
The battery status LED should illuminate, if this light is off, remove the battery from the operator and have it load tested. Replace if need be.
If you see #9 Free Exit/Open Input, there is a device that is holding the gate open. Verify latch mode on the radio receiver is not turned on. Remove wires from J2 terminal pin #9 and verify the LED has turned off. If so, one of the devices wired there is unintentionally holding the gate open. Leaving the wire(s) disconnected should allow operation to resume.
For operators with a photo eye installed:
Disable the gate 1 and gate 2 switches on the circuit board.
The photo eye should power on, check alignment at this time.
USAutomatic photo eyes will have a red LED showing if the eyes are not aligned.
Clean the photo eyes off and confirm the eyes are physically aligned.
If the eyes appear to be aligned correctly but a red LED is still showing, the batteries in the transmitting photo eye may need replacement. Replace these batteries with ER14505, ER14505H, or LS14500 batteries.
Once the photo eye is realigned, enable switch 3 if a single gate, or switches 3 and 4 if a double gate.
