How to Pair a Premium Wireless Transmitter to the Receiver

How to Pair a Premium Wireless Transmitter to the Receiver

Overview

In this article you will learn how to pair a premium wireless transmitter to the radio receiver. Each premium transmitter has a factory-randomized set of security switches, making each one unique. The pairing process is only required if you don't already have a remote that is paired. If you do already have a remote, you can duplicate an existing remote's signal to the new one, which would pair it without needing to open the cabinet. This article will go over both of these methods.

Applies to Part Number(s)

  1. 030217
  2. 030218

What You Need

  1. A long and narrow tool of some sort (paperclip, tooth pick, etc.) if pairing the first remote.
  2. A remote that is already paired if adding additional remotes beyond the first (030210/030212/030217/030218 all work as the already-paired remote)

Procedure

Pairing Directly to the Radio Receiver

Info
For systems without a remote already paired.
  1. Press and hold the button on the remote you wish to pair.
  2. While holding the remote button, use the narrow tool to press and hold P1 or P2.
    1. Use P1 if the desired behavior is to open and/or close the gate.
    2. Use P2 if the desired behavior is to latch the gate open.
  3. The receiver should 'click' and the gate should operate, indicating a successful pair. Let go of both buttons at this time.
  4. Press the remote button to confirm it makes the gate operate.

Duplicating an Existing Remote

Info
For systems with a remote already paired.
  1. Press and hold the top button on the remote.
  2. While holding the top button, press the bottom button. The red LED on the remote will begin flashing.
  3. Take the existing remote (one that already runs the gate) and hold it up against the new remote.
  4. Press and hold a button on the existing remote.
  5. The red LED on the new remote will turn solid for a moment and then turn off.
    1. The new remote should now work the same as the existing remote.
    2. If more than 1 button was set up on the existing remote, all of the new remote's buttons will work the same as the original remote.
