How to Change the Master Password on a Premium Metal Wireless Keypad

In this article you will learn how to change the master password on a premium metal wireless keypad. The master password is used to change the functions of the keypad itself. The default master password is "11111". Changing this will ensure the keypad's functions can't be accessed by someone who knows the default master password. An example of this process will be provided at the end of the article. If you hear a long beep during any of these steps, an error has occurred and the process should be started from the beginning.

Procedure

Enter the Current Master Password Then Press 8

The keypad will give 2 short beeps if this step is done correctly. If you get one long beep at this step, your master password may be incorrect. To reset the master password back to the default, refer to this article: How to Reset the Master Password Back to Default on a Premium Metal Wireless Keypad. Once reset to the default, refer back to this article to change it to the desired master password.

Enter the New Master Password Then Press 8

The new master password must be 5 digits.

Re-Enter the New Master Password Then Press 8

The keypad will give two short beeps indicating the master password has been changed. Confirm the new master password by typing in the new master password followed by 9, you should hear two short beeps.
